New Plumb Album Giveaway!!!

NEED YOU NOW on iTunes SamiCone.com SavingsLifestyle.com KansasCityMamas.com MeghanTucker.com iGoBoGo.com NerdFamilyThings.com AngieSmithOnline.com MoneySavingQueen.com/

Once of my favorite artists, Plumb, has a new album that has just come out this week! I have loved Plumb and her music since the beginning! She was the first Christian artist I heard who actually put voice to the fact there are emotional struggles and I had struggles.

Her new album is called Need You Now has that same emotional vulnerability along with beautiful music. I had fallen in love with Drifting when it was released last year so of course that is one of my favorites on this album. The song Unlovable really spoke to me, not only due to my own life but also those I see who the church body attempts to ignore.  But not every song is deeply moving or emotional. I love Chocolate and Ice Cream too;). It is sweet and just adorable.

I could go on for a while. But before I get to the giveaway, let me urge you to go pick up a copy of Need You Now!!

So onto the giveaway. The blog tour is giving away 2 iPad Mini’s!!! You enter that giveaway with the Rafflecopter widget. Also 2 of my readers will win a cd copy of Need You Now!!! Those winners will be chosen from the comments on this blog post when the iPad Mini giveaway closes on 3/4/2013.

Brittany Spears and Marriage?

So Brittany Spears’ fiance is 1 of her conservators. Now this doesn’t bother me in the way some would think, that maybe this would be a conflict of interest for her fiance. I mean, those who know me know that I believe when it comes to marriage it is in for a penny, in for a pound. My problem is that you have a 30 year old woman who the court thinks is so unstable that she needs 2 conservators to manage her (& her vast wealth) but she is getting married? If the court is still worried about her mental ability and judgement, can she even enter a legal contract like marriage?

And what man would marry a woman that needs him to be her conservator? It is like the dude who became a girl’s legal guardian and married her.

I really have problems with everyone’s judgement in this situation. I worry for her!

Cross The Line!!! Maybe?

Ok, first off let me say that I love Superchick! And I don’t care if I seem a little old for it;). What I say, I didn’t start rebelling and standing on my own until I got married;). But anyway;).

I got this on cd from the library and I am rocking in the car. This some is all about stepping out and being fearless. Then I think about how my parents (mind you, I am 36;) wouldn’t like when it talks like living like you are on bail or running from the cops. Maybe I am still not all that tough;).

Free Music

I have loved Plumb and her music for many years! I relate to her music on so many levels but that is another post;).

I was stoked when I saw that she has 2 free downloadable songs today! And not just any songs but Damaged and Blush! I love both of these songs so much! So run and get your copy!!! I will be listening to mine all day!

Tech Tuesday: What is That Hymn

This may not be a common problem but it is mine… I get an old hymn in my head. I remember 1 line but since I haven’t heard it in many years I obviously don’t remember the rest. What can I say, I am easily haunted. And there isn’t an IMDB for hymns. So it is cool when I found Hymnopedia! It sorts information by hymn, hymnal, composer and author. It is the wikipedia of hymns! And what is technology for if not to get me information? And I want that information for free of course;).

Human Nature Giveaway

I recently got a chance to listen to Human Nature’s Reach Out. They are a group from Australia that is coming now in a show presented by Smokey Robinson in Las Vegas. Reach Out is a fun album that is all Motown remakes. They have Smokey Robinson and Mary Wilson (of the Supremes) guesting on the CD. If you like Motown classics this is a great CD for you. It has all the charm of the originals but with a great sound quality. Human Nature have a great voice quality and who wouldn’t love these songs? If you are going to be in Las Vegas you have to check out their show!

Curious George 2 Soundtrack: Review and Giveaway!

My kids were so stoked when they saw me open up this CD. They absolutely love Curious George and frankly, who doesn’t love Curious George;)? My whole family had really enjoy A Very Monkey Christmas so we were all looking forward to Follow that Monkey!

I know that many of you parents are groaning, “Not another kids cd”. Well, this Curious George CD is a little different. The music is a little more mature than you might expect. The music is still fun but not as bubbly as many silly kids cds. My kids all like the CD but didn’t think it was as Curious Georgey as the other CD but really good (their words;).
So how would you like to win a copy?
