First Look at Whirlpool’s CES Booth

Yesterday I finally got to tour Whirlpool’s CES booth and checked out this year’s offerings. Whirlpool’s booth into 3 areas: new releases, products that should hit the market in the next few years and products that are in the planning stages for the five to ten years. But what caught my attention first was this year’s new releases!

duetwasherI got a chance to check out the Designer Duet washers and dryers that were being launched at CES! These have a skin placed on the already fabulous Duet washer with Adaptive Wash and Duet dryer with Advanced Moisture Sensing technologies. They are both gorgeous and classy. The first 2 designs are bubbles and diamonds. The bubble pattern is fun and funky not to mentioned laundry room themed;). The diamond pattern is stylish and sleep. Neither pattern is very loud and still gives the machines that sleek look. These are the first two designs and there should be many to follow. I think this is going to be a great way to personalize your laundry room! And these first two designs are neutral enough that they can go with any color scheme.

The Cool Vox refrigerator isn’t just a great appliance but it is a phenomenal indicator of the direction that innovation is going in our kitchens. The integration of a blue tooth speaker system is fabulous! Our lives are moving into a fully integrated life. This refrigerator is scheduled for release in the second quarter of this year! When the party moves into the kitchen (and it always does;) you can be ready with the tunes. Now you don’t have to put your phone in the corner to get some muffled sound in order to try and keep it away from the mess. And the refrigerator itself is big and beautiful with tons of space and sleek lines.

Whirlpool is showing great wisdom in their innovation path. They are taking great appliances and infusing them with some great new technology and style. Enabling me to put my stamp on my home be it through great visual design or great sound.

Next time I will share what I saw that is coming down the road!

  1. I’d love it if something could be designed that moved the wash to the dryer and then started it. It would be great because I often forget to transfer the wash and it would keep it from falling to the floor!

  2. I would love if the fridge would have an display where you could type in lists and send them directly to your phone or email for easy shopping!

  3. My idea for the future of my home: I would actually like to own a home of my own, firstly, and if I did have a home, I would want solar panels on the roof, and all energy-saving appliances in the kitchen, laundry room, sensor faucets throughout, excellent venting system over the gas range, and a nice open layout that makes moving around in the house, a breeze 🙂

  4. I’d love a single appliance that is both a washer and dryer – toss in the clothes, come back and they are washed and dried. A space saver and a tome saver! Also a self cleaning tub/shower/toilet! 😉
