Happy New Year!!! Are you all ready for 2010? This month I am trying to cook out of my pantry along with Money Saving Mom and Life as Mom! I can’t completely cook from my pantry but I can do most of it! The big thing I am aiming at is having an empty outside freezer so I can thaw it. Then I want to stock it up with freezer meals. So that brings me to this week’s meal plan!
Monday: Double Batch Beef, Spinach and Pasta in a Red Sauce (for leftovers too)
Tuesday: Tuna Helper for the kids (Mom and Dad out)
Christmas may officially be over but I still have 2 more Christmas celebrations this week. So while a little of the crazy has calmed down, not all of it has. So I am going to try to keep it simple this week. I also am trying to eat out of the pantry and freezer except essentials!
Monday: Beans with Beef, Brown Rice (in my new Rice Cooker), and Broccoli Tuesday: Pasta Bake with Ham and Spinach Wednesday: Tilapia, Jasmine Rice with Spinach Thursday: Pasta Carbonara Florentine Friday: Pizza!!!
So not only is this week the chaos of Christmas, I am still recovering from surgery:(. So here is our sketchy plan.
Monday: Pizza Tuesday: Mom and Dad are out. Kids: pinto beans and rice for kids Wednesday: Homemade Burritos Thursday: Roast and potatoes in the crockpot for after Christmas Eve service Friday: Ham, Latkes, Applesauce, Rolls
This week is a super crazy week. Not only is it less than 2 weeks to Christmas but I have to go to Stanford. I will be gone Monday morning through Wednesday afternoon and then plan on feeling horrible. So I am keeping it simple for NerdDad!
Now that the chaos of Thanksgiving is over, and some of us don’t have leftovers, so it is time to think about this week’s meal plan!
Monday- Spaghetti Squash Chicken Spaghetti, Green Beans, Cheddar Bay Biscuits Tuesday- Chili Mac and Cheese Wednesday- Gnocchi with Chicken and Asparagus Thursday- Breaded Tilapia, Broccoli, Noodles with Alfredo sauce Friday- Chicken Kiev, Broccoli, Beer Bread
Ok, there isn’t much to this week but I still have to come up with some plan;). Since we are all coming off a stomach bug I am going to try and keep it light or at least not fried or tomatoes.
You would think that someone who likes to eat as much as I do would have great ideas but that isn’t the case this week. I am still feeling a bit icky so I am going with boring and easy;).
