World Bread Day


I was reading about today being World Bread Day and so here is my Beer Bread recipe. I look forward to the bread roundup being posted and seeing everyone else’s great breads! Even if you have never made bread before don’t worry, it is just a dump and mix recipe.

Ingredients:
3 cups AP Flour
1 1/2 tbl baking powder
1/2 tbl salt
1/4 cup sugar
1 can beer (not light)
3/4 stick of butter

Procedure:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees and grease a loaf pan. Dump flour, baking powder, salt and sugar into a mixing bowl. Then add the beer and stir it all together (it will foam up first). Then put it in the loaf. Melt the butter and pour it over the top. Put it in the oven for 1 hour. You know it is done when you can knock on it. Let cool slightly before cutting or it will fall apart.
