Sitting in a McDonald’s Playland listening to a former homeschooling mother lecture me on which homeschooling curriculum is THE BEST curriculum (and why all of the others are nowhere near as good) while watching a torrential thunderstorm rage outside and wondering whether or not my recently repaired gutters would leak. The kids enjoyed playing, and the wife and I enjoyed visiting when we were not being yammered at by the rather obnoxious woman relentlessly exercising her right to free speech on Independence Day.
