Isn’t life better with good food and good friends;)? My goals is to make easy delicious food, share tips and maybe watch some tv. So what are you favorite food secrets;)?

So prizes I would like to win (who wouldn’t;): Of course the grand prize of a laptop! But other than that… I would love US101, US 112, US39, US 105, US87 but I would be happy with just about anything (but my youngest child is about 3;).
I always have a hard time knowing what to put in these type of posts. How shocking that someone who calls herself NerdMom would be socially awkward;). As you can see, we are a nerdy lot over here. We love to have fun, we love to learn, and we love our family!

I hope you all have a wonderful Easter Sunday celebrating the resurrection of Jesus Christ! I am excited for tomorrow because my 2 oldest kids (NerdBug 8 and NerdPie 6) are going to be baptized at our church’s 7am Sunrise Easter service!
You might ask why an Easter baptism service. Well, it goes into what baptism logistically symbolizes. You die with Christ, you are buried with Christ and you are resurrected with Christ. Did I mention that we are full immersion;)? Now, I don’t know a verse that teaches that (before you send angry emails) but it is death of the old life and birth of a new life. And it is symbolic! Both children have asked Christ to be the Lord and Savior of their lives. I am very excited!
In the spirit of baptism We are That Family had a hilarious post! We will have to make sure the 2 older kids don’t try to help out our 2 littles with the baptism;).
If you are in the Fresno area and would like to see a great baptism service come to New Cov on Nees between Maple and Cedar on Easter at 7am! If you aren’t up for the 7am (and this is the first one I have been to) we are also going to have great Easter services at 9am and 10:40am! I will be at the Women’s Ministry cart between the main services so drop by and say Hi! Just mention you are looking for NerdMom;). Hope to see you there.
So Coburn’s amendment to ban Sex Offenders from receiving ED drugs under the new healthcare legislation has failed. The vote was 42-57. I wonder if this will effect the careers of those who voted against it. I am sure there will be some interesting YouTube commercials out soon! Thanks to my friend Bridget Johnson (over at the Hill) for letting me know the results!
We are having issues on the NerdFamily Blog (if the address didn’t give a hint;). I will be transferring the domain hopefully this week and we will have a new WordPress blog!
On the political front, there is a Database that you can search to see what kind of donations zip codes are doing for gubernatorial candidates in California.
Heart of the Matter has a great piece that has some great resources about Haiti and how to pray for it in Praying and Learning About Haiti.
I made 4 loaves of banana bread today as my Tackle It Tuesday!!!!! I used a recipe that I found over at Tammy’s Recipe that has wheat flour in it. The bread is moist and freezes beautifully!
NerdDad got me a Eco Staple Free Stapler for my birthday and I love it!!! It cuts a strip of paper and tucks it into the slit that is cuts. It is awesome because I don’t have to worry about staples coming out and the baby finding it. You also never need to buy refills!
