A Delicious Creation with #GourmetCreations

So we have given up wheat recently but at the same time we are not a family that can really live on salads (well, I could but NerdDad would starve to death;). So I am exploring some other options for delicious meals that will please and this dish was a huge hit!

Looks delish eh? I am having a hard time coming up with a name so please, give me your suggestions!!!

Ingredients:

1 Spaghetti Squash
1 package of Hillshire Farm Gourmet Creations Sausage in Beef and Bacon
1 package chopped frozen spinach: thawed and drained
1/2 stick of butter
2 heaping teaspoons of minced garlic
2 teaspoons sea salt +extra for squash
1 teaspoon pepper +extra for squash
1/2 teaspoon paprika +extra for squash
Sprinkling of queso fresco
Olive Oil or Veg Oil

Cooked Spaghetti Squash

Process:

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees. Cut the spaghetti squash in half and scoop out the seeds.  Sprinkle the inside of the squash generously with sea salt, paprika, pepper and oil. Give it a rub to make sure the inside is all covered. Place cut side up on a cookie sheet and bake for 30-40 minutes until it is tender.  When it is done just us a fork to pull the flesh from the skin and it will shred like spaghetti!

Take your Hillshire Farm Gourmet Creations Sausage and cut it in half length wise both ways to create 4 equal sticks. Do this to all 4 sausages and then dice. Melt a 1/2 stick of butter in a skillet. Once melted toss in your sausage, garlic and all your seasonings. Once the sausage browns up and you can smell the garlic just toss in your thawed and drained spinach and heat the spinach through. Then just toss it all with your spaghetti squash and serve!

Now this is strongly seasoned  so you can back off the pepper and paprika  but my kids all love it! This served my family of 6 (with kids 10-4) with no leftovers but no one was hungry either!

So what should I call it?

Geeky Links 10/22

Lets start this week’s Geeky Links off with some geeky fun! I love this piece! It is a swede of the Avengers trailer made by some very creative Fresnans. Make sure you pay special attention to Black Widow’s hair;).

PC Magazine has a piece about a researcher who can turn any surface into a touchpad. That is so cool!

Marvel has Joe Quesada’s Avenging Spider-Man #1 Cover up and it looks pretty nifty!

Boss is Premiering!

I had been hearing for a while the Kelsey Grammer had a new drama! I have always been a big fan, not just for his Fraiser character but because of his acting chops! So I was excited to hear about not only about a drama but a political drama at that!

This looks at the underbelly of Chicago politics. With corrupt family empires, a do anything mentality and a man in charge who does what he thinks is best even if the law wouldn’t agree. To go with the show Starz has created a Scandalous Dirt site that is tracking tweets and stories online.

The 1 thing I am nervous about? It is on Starz so I have no idea just how racy the show will actually be. Keeping that in mind, if you have Starz tune into the premiere Friday, Oct 21st at 10pm est/pst!

This promotional sponsored post was made possible by Mom Spark Media. I was compensated for my time and work on this campaign. Any opinions shared are my own.

Win a Dell Laptop!!!

I think Lady Geek TV is so cute! It is a series over on YouTube sponsored by Kaspersky and always has a great computer safety message. My kids love it too! But what I love more than just the show is that I won a Dell laptop from them last week!

This week’s episode focuses on ridding yourself of icky content and they have another Dell Laptop Giveaway!

So watch the video and enter!!!
