Minecraft Biomes

Minecraft biomes are different lands like deserts and plains. Each biome has its own landscape with different resources you can collect. I’m just going to talk about common ones.

Plains: My favorite is plains which has weeds and some flowers. All animals live there but I wouldn’t suggest living there without woods near by. It is one of my favorites because you have a nice flat landscape to build on. You don’t have to clear out woods or dig away land.

Woods: Woods are a necessity because you need wood to make almost anything. You can find most animals and different types of wood here so it is a good place to live.

Desert: Deserts are just sand and cactus and lots of it. You can use cactus in some types of traps.

Savannah: Savannahs are brown but the same as plains.

Jungle: Jungles are great for wood and have cacao beans for cookies.It’s a great place to live but there isn’t a lot of room for big houses.

Those were the common ones here is one of the small ones.

Mushroom Island has lots of unique things such as Mooshrooms, Giant Mushrooms, and mycelium dirt.Not a great place to live because there are no trees.

Here are the sub biomes that just change the landscape of the common biomes 

Caves: Caves are big caverns that have ores and lava pools. If you dig down anywhere you could find a cave.

Beaches: Beaches are strips of sand by water. Rivers can be found at the of biomes and they have beaches on them. These have fish like any other water source. 

Hills: Hills can be on any biome. The biomes are the same but on hills.

My New to Me Computer

NerdPie and her new Yoga Pro 2!

I have been looking for a computer for a while so when my mom gave me her Yoga 2 Pro  computer it was a dream come true. If she hadn’t done that I would of had to save for a year and my new Yoga is hundreds of dollars above what I was looking at. This computer has every thing I wanted: a touchscreen, a webcam, and Windows 8.1. 

I have started to do some graphic designing so I can use my computer to further my career. With my new computer I can play with one of my siblings on Roblox or Minecraft. I’m going to be writing more for the blog and have started  Minecraft Monday. I even get to play tablet games since it has a tablet mode!  I’m excited to be writing more so see you soon!

I received my new Yoga Pro 3 from Lenovo as part of the Lenovo Insiders program #LenovoIn and the #YogaMyWay program! I have never seen my daughter quite so excited. She had been looking at a variety of ultra books and hadn’t even dreamed of getting a full computer. She is also loving the tablet aspect and has downloaded (and been playing) a bunch of tablet games like Minion Rush.

She was already planning on saving for over a year so she could buy herself a simple chrome book and now she has more than she dreamed! Thank you Lenovo Insiders for helping me to give my daughter such a great blessing! )

These are 2 of my favorite series of Minecraft books. I like reading Minecraft books to help with all those things you can’t figure out on your own. And they are just fun to read! The only place to learn about mods with out just surfing the web is to read Minecraft books. Not that surfing the web is bad it’s just that the books are a much easier way to find the information and they have sites that can help you further.

The Minecraft Handbook series by: Scholastic

This is the official Minecraft book series. It will show you how to do every thing from starting out on a new world to making complex redstone machinery and cool houses. I love them and I think that anyone could benefit from reading these books.

The Minecrafter series by: Triumph Books

This series is more about awesome buildings, mods, and neat tricks. And they have all the essentials to! These are a great read and a lot bigger than above. I sincerely advise it to every one.

How to Change Your Skin On Minecraft

(This is the first installment of NerdPie’s new series: Minecraft Monday!)

Hi! Today I’m going to show you how to change how your look on Minecraft. I know Steve is fine but he gets boring sometimes. Maybe you want to be a superhero or character from a movie. Or you are a girl and want to be a girl on Minecraft. I’m here to tell you all those are possible and more.

The process is complicated to make a custom skin so I’ll show you a different way. This isn’t a custom skin that is just yours but it is still more unique than Steve!

 You need to have the skin file you want to put on. Just go to Planet Minecraft. They have thousands of skins to chose from so just click on the download button.

After you pick your skin go to Minecraft and sign in.

You will come to a profile page. Click on the button that says choose file and, to get the file hooked up, just press upload and your set.

Hope this help you get a skin that fits you perfectly.
