Welcome to Twitter Party Tuesday!!! I love a good Twitter party but sometimes it is hard to find them! So I have decided to start a link up!!! So all of you who are hosting a Twitter party or just know where to find one please leave a link to the party page!!

 

This week’s featured party is #TheOnlineMom party! This is a weekly party that talks tech, family and tools that help us parent! It is held Wednesday nights at 9pm est and lasts 1 hour. There are always prizes but they are given out during the party only to participants who have RSVP’ed so make sure you do!!!

So how was everyone’s Halloween? Are you still eating all your kids’ candy? I am;)!

But on to real food? What are you all eating this week? Here is my tentative plan!

Monday: Salmon, roasted potatoes and broccoli
Tuesday: carnitas, broccoli and rice
Wednesday: steak, broccoli, chili
Thursday: shrimp, spinach and rice noodles in a butter garlic sauce
Friday: Most of us are going to a wedding!!! The littles with have something out of a box with the sitter;).

Geekwire has a great piece about Bill Gates’ speech to some students and why they shouldn’t try to be billionaires.

Discovery News has an interesting piece called “A Laser to Give the Universe a Hernia”. Very interesting!

Ok, am I the only person who is blown away by the fact it is almost Halloween and Thanksgiving is just a few weeks away? And it is less than 2 months until Christmas? I already feel so behind!!!

There are 2 things that always get pushed to the end of the do list. Oh heck, I need to be honest, the 2 things that often tend to fall off my to do list because I don’t have time to get around to them. The 2 things are Christmas cards and thoughtful Grandparent gifts!

Shutterfly can have you back on both accounts! They have super cute holiday cards that you can just order now! Then just address them through November and send them out the day after Thanksgiving. Then you totally look like a rock star!

Then you can use Shutterfly’s photo books as the perfect Grandparent gift! I mean, what grandparent doesn’t want pictures of their grandkids? Just lay in all the super cute pictures you have taken through the year and order. How easy can that be?

What I scored this week!

Ok, I am not a huge Macy’s shopper usually. They have cute things but often the price point is just a little higher than I think they are worth. But honey, when they have a good sale! Buckle up because it is good!

My niece is getting married in a couple of weeks and is registered there so I was looking around at what I was getting her. I saw that they were having a blowout bedding sale and I have been looking for a set that was both a price I was willing to pay and something I love;).

The set in this picture I picked up for $39.99 plus tax! It is a reversible 8 piece set for a California King bed!!!! Such a deal.

And if you are looking for cookware!!! Bunches of the Tools of the Trade line is on clearance. Why you might ask? Because they are changing the color of the box. They have decided to take the packaging orange again. That is what the sales person told me;).

So I picked up these 5 quart skillets with 2 handles for $19.99. Well actually, I got an extra 15% off too;). And yes, my niece had the fore site to register for this!!

So I am starting off with not only a geeky video but also a super nerdy one! If you can’t enjoy this a little… well, I should stop there before I say something mean;).

The Guardian has a piece about the Kindle being heavier when it is fully loaded. It all makes sense but I just wouldn’t have thought about it being heavier.

Over on Hero Complex Chris Hemsworth talks about the director who will be working on Thor 2. I personally am a huge Branagh fan but I am sure that Jenkins will do a smash up job!

Ok, and this is a very geek request. Can you go vote for my Verizon 4G LTE video? I would greatly appreciate it;). I am trying to win a prize pack that is extremely geeky;).
