Valentine’s Day doesn’t have to be pricey. We don’t like going out to restaurants or doing anything super expensive. Here are some fairly cheap dates!
If you have been lucky enough to get a babysitter here are a few unique and cheap dates out:
1)The Arcade, We are huge fans of the Oh Wow Nickel Arcade here in Fresno
2)Save your ends from your bread and feed the ducks at Woodward Park (or your local park)
3) People watch at Riverpark (or local mall) and make up their story
4) Bowling or Pool on a buy1 Get 1 coupon!
Personally, we feed our kids and put them to bed early and chill home! Here are some great cheap options!
1) Board game night!
2) Video game night! You can get them for free from the library or cheap from Red Box. TheMarriedGamers.net has great reviews (and I write for them sometimes;)
3) The classic, movie night. Also something you can get free from the library or for only $1 from Red Box!
4) Cook together
5) A picnic indoors. All the romantic benefits with all the comforts of home and no ants!

We all have those nights that we are going out but need to feed our kids or leave something the sitter can make. But I am kind of picky about frozen food. The kids need to have some vegetables, it needs to taste good, and not be greasy! It also needs to be easy enough that my sitter can make it while chasing my 4 kids;). Another component is wheat;). Since NerdDad and I are both gluten free, the kids kind of look forward to getting something with gluten when they eat dinner without us;).
So my kids were stoked to be able to try Bertolli’s Roasted Chicken and Rotini. They felt it was fancy and very grown up! My sitter said that it was easy to make and didn’t take a lot of work. The problem we found is that the younger 3 really wanted more pasta and less veggies but isn’t that how little kids always are? But my sitter and my 10 year old absolutely loved the soup!

Ok, first off let me say that I love Superchick! And I don’t care if I seem a little old for it;). What I say, I didn’t start rebelling and standing on my own until I got married;). But anyway;).
I got this on cd from the library and I am rocking in the car. This some is all about stepping out and being fearless. Then I think about how my parents (mind you, I am 36;) wouldn’t like when it talks like living like you are on bail or running from the cops. Maybe I am still not all that tough;).
Ok, the traditional knotting of the scarf at your neck just never looks right on me. Unless I want to look from head to hips like a solid ball. This fixes that, is cute and is warm!
