This is a post all about living in the woods biome. I think that this is one of the best biomes to start out in because it has all the basic items that you need on a day to day basis. Because you get the wood you need from the trees. You get food from apples that fall from leaf blocks. And you could make a home in the ground or a little plank home on the ground.

I think that the best place to make your home is near a water source. Then when you are ready to farm you can just make a farm next to the water instead of going and finding water and maybe getting lost on the way. 

I like to make a small house above ground to help me find it. But I put a majority of my rooms on a staircase that is going down from my main room. I try to make as many rooms of my central staircase as possible because you can get a lot of cobblestone and precious material just from mining out all the rooms on a stair case.

I suggest that you try to find out what kind of forest you are in when you first spawn. Because if you are in a roofed forest where nearly every thing is covered by trees you better make a sword because that means that a lot of monsters might spawn and not burn up because there is enough shade. Or if you are in the jungle you should start looking for cacao seeds which are a very good resource.

This post is all about Farm animals. I think that all of the animals are important and helpful to have around. But this is all about the most helpful animals that you should have if all possible. I suggest if you can, you find at least one of these animals.

I think that the best animal to have around is the cow. It has four different uses that make it super helpful to have around

• You can use a cow for milk and and the milk is helpful. Because you can use it to heal you from potions and raw meat. And you can use the milk to make cakes.
• You can use it’s leather to make books and a set of dyeable armor.
• You can use it’s meat for eating and and you could eat it raw and follow it with a bucket of milk.
• When you breed an animal with another and it makes a baby you will get quite a bit of experience.

I think that the second best animal is the sheep. This only has three different uses so it is not as useful as the cow but you can dye it different colors.

• You can shear a sheep by clicking it with shears and you will get 1 to 3 pieces of wool. And you can make a bed and carpets and pictures with it.
• You also can eat it  eat it’s meat.
• you can also get xp from breeding sheep.

The 3rd best animal is the chicken. It only has 2 unique items that aren’t meat or xp.

• The chicken will drop feathers when it dies. You can make arrows with them.
• A chicken will drop an egg every minecraft day or so. Then you can make cakes or pumpkin pies

This is a new mini series on buildings on Minecraft. There are lots of different styles. Like NerdoDark likes to just make whatever fits his needs. While I like to make buildings that are styled just so and fit my needs to the style. I like to make everything symmetrical and perfectly aligned and NerdoDark makes buildings to suit the purpose of whatever fits and what ever works.

To start a building my way, first you need to have some idea of what it should look like. If you want it to have windows or a back door, If you want it to be able to mine from it or not or if there will be a possibility for you to keep going up and making more floors. Like my latest project is a big hotel but I am not putting a fancy roof on it because then I am going to keep making it go higher and higher so that it touches the sky. 

When NerdoDark makes a building it always has a purpose unless it is a thing from a show or game. Like NerdoDark won’t build a bunch of different houses all at once. He will make one house and use it as much as possible then make another one. He doesn’t care about dimensions  of the space unless it is too small to do what he wants which is cool. Unless you’re me and you want to find a way through all his stuff. But he also makes things that have no use at all but the sure are cool. Like he has made the great Deku tree and a ghost house from Mario.

This is a little homage to the Harry Potter series. I am going to talk about potions. These may not be what you would be taught by Professor Snape but most of these potions could save your life or kill a nasty monster in the night. Potions aren’t just for battling. There are potions that can make you  breathe under water or make you fireproof. Today I am going to talk about the basics of making potions not all the different recipes for the multitudes of different potions.

When getting ready for your first year potions class you will need a brewing stand and if you like a cauldron(a cauldron is mostly for show cause the only thing it holds is water) and water filled bottles. To make a brewing stand you put a blaze rod in the middle middle and cobblestone in the bottom row. To make a cauldron you have iron in the top left and right, middle left and right and the bottom row.

The Brewing Stand has it’s own interface like a crafting table but also different. There are three places where you can put bottles and one spot to put things that are going into the potions. For every item that you use the brewing stand with you can get up to 3 potions from it which is really helpful when working with valuables.

The Cauldron is really mostly for show it just sits there and holds one bucket’s worth of water which is enough for 3 water bottles but you could get the same thing from a hole in the ground.

To start making potions first you will have to make a akward potion that has no effects but is like a base to all other potions. You will need to brew in nether wart to do this. Then the world is your oyster you can make any potion you want.

Just a little tip, if you hold a stick in your hand it looks just like Harry Potter’s Blackthorn and Phoenix tail feather wand. But most wands are a lot more intricate than that.

If you want to find out exact recipes for potions click here or you can just try different things. One little hint is that the fermented spider eye will turn a lot of helpful potions in to hurtful ones that you would use on your enemy.

This is a post about items that have been taken out of Minecraft. There is a lot of things that used to be in Minecraft but the makers decided to take them out in a later version. I think it is interesting to take a look back at what used to be. 

Killer Bunnies.

These were in the game but they took them out. They were white with red eyes and they would jump out at you and could hurt if they touched you. They will not be tamed and will not breed and used to spawn once  and awhile when you bred rabbits and didn’t spawn in the wild.

Horse Saddles.

These are still in Minecraft but they used to be able to be crafted. In version 1.6.1 you could craft it with leather in the top row and middle left and right and iron in the middle middle and the bottom left and right.

The Far lands.

These used to be at the end of Minecraft and there would be lots glitches and mirages These were deleted in 1.8

Beast Boy,Black Steve,Steve and Rana.

These were mobs that wandered around the Minecraft Overworld. When you kill them you will  get some minor stuff like sugar and coal and some cooler stuff will come from Rana but she also has more health.

Humans.

These are like zombie and have the original Steve skin. They walk around aimlessly  and will run into Players to hurt them. If they die they don’t drop anything.

Pigmen.

These were going to be villagers but that never happened.

Rose.

These used to be the only flower in Minecraft other than the dandelion but was taken out in 1.8

This post is to tell you all about The Nether and the different landscape from the overworld. The Nether is basicly just a bunch of lava and netherrack in a pot. It is a very dark and red place because there is no sun so the only light source is the lava and fire and a little bit of glow stone.

It is the only world that has a ceiling which is made out of netherrack. It can be almost at your head at some points and a 1000 blocks high at others. It is about 20 layers thick and the last one is made out of bedrock so there is no point in digging through it. But if you are in creative and you dig through the last layer you can go through and enter the void. You will die if you go out to far up but if you stay near the bedrock you will be okay. The bedrock actually has mushrooms growing on it which is really neat and interesting. You can also enter the void by digging through the bedrock at the bottom of both the Overworld and the Nether. And in the End there is no bedrock you can just fall through. If you die in the void you can’t get any of your stuff back. 

There are a lot of lava lakes in the Nether that you have to be really carefull. And there a lot of little fire sitting everywhere. My conclusion is that the Nether is very bad for your health and I don’t suggest going there unless there is some thing you need there. I would suggest building your summer home there.

This is post is to build on what I put in my horse post so if you haven’t read it don’t worry I’ll wait. You done? If so then you are going to love this one. donkey can spawn anywhere a horse can but you will never find natural mules. Because they are a donkey and a horse bred together and it cannot be bred in Minecraft or in real life, it is the only animal like that.

A Donkey is a lot like a horse in compared to the foods they eat and how to tame them but doesn’t look much like a horse. They all look the same unlike horses which can be all different shapes. They are always gray and have long ears. They are all ways a lot shorter than horses. There is one thing that is different in with a donkey is that it’s got a full inventory. You can put in 30 different stacks of items in there once it is tamed and then you can haul twice as much stuff to wherever you are going. 

In creative you only have one mob spawner for the 3 different mobs; donkeys, mules and horses. So you just have to keep spawning different horses to get a donkey or a mule. And you will get them of all ages but don’t worry a foal ,which is a baby horse, takes only 20 minutes for birth to be an adult. But you can’t tame foals till they grow up.

A Mule isn’t used much in Minecraft but it is worth noting any way. You can breed a horse and a donkey together to get one. There isn’t really a difference between a horse and a mule but they are a sciencentifice marvel.

This post is here to teach you all about the horse. I like horses in real life but I have only ridden on Minecraft. I am also going to talk about items that are helpful to be used with a horse. But first I will let you know about the animal of the hour himself the horse.

I really like horses but sometimes they can be really hard to find. When you first meet a horse it is wild and it won’t really let you do anything with it. To tame it you need to get on its back by left clicking on it with an empty hand. It will shake you of a couple times and once you see hearts come out then you will have tamed it. Once you have tamed it then you will be able to see its inventory by pressing E on its back then you can put a Saddle

• Saddles are one thing that you need if you want to be ride any animal. You can’t craft them which can be a big setback but the are a kind of common item in spawned chests. They saddle is the only way to be able to steer a horse on its back.  And you can only put it on once it is tamed.

On its back also you can put on a set of horse armor.

• Horse Armor is only one piece but it covers all of the horse. There are 3 kinds iron, gold,and diamond. You can’t craft horse armor either and is found sometimes in spawned chests. 

Your horse can die but you can feed it food to regain its health.

• Sugar heals 1/2 of a Heart
• Wheat heals 1 heart
• Apple heals 1 and a 1/2 hearts
• Golden Carrot heals 2 hearts and breeds them
• Golden Apple or Enchanted Apple heals 5 hearts
• Haybale this is one that really is cool it is wheat on every square of the crafting table. They are only used for horses and I haven’t used them before but they are cool.

Today I am going to talk about a couple of monsters that haven’t really been highlighted much before and a little bit on one that is very important. I am talking about The Endermen, Endermites and The Ender Dragon. These all have a big power range but no one notices them much except for the big GrandDaddy to them all The Ender Dragon. First I am going to talk about the mysterious Endermen.

Ender Man

These are helpful because they can give you ender pearls. Enderpearls will teleport you to where you throw them. If you combined blaze powder and an ender pearl you will get an eye of ender that is what you need to unlock the End. Endermen can teleport within a 32 block area as long as they can see it and it is 3 or more blocks high. So you can just make a cage that is 3 blocks high but once you get the endermen in it you make the exit only 2 blocks high. Endermen also eat blocks out of the landscape which locks really weird.

Endermite

These are strange little creatures that I haven’t really met before but they are very interesting. They only spawn once in awhile where something has teleported. They are like little cubes that bounce around. If they touch you they hurt you and they are pretty fast. They also drop ender pearls.

The Ender Dragon

This is often called the big boss of minecraft. I have one piece of advice. Don’t go till you have everything and the kitchen sink to throw at it. You can never have too much stuff to try to kill it. If you want to learn more click here
